Q: I’ve bought my Natural Science Beauty products and I’m not diggin’ the vibes. What is your return policy?
A: First and foremost, thank you so much for supporting a small, woman-owned business! Due to the fresh nature of our products, we cannot accept returns or exchanges at this time.
We do everything in our power to make sure you are so informed and in love with our products and their results, that you wanna shout it from the mountaintops.
If this is not the case, we would love your feedback so that we can really hear you out and learn to make the best product possible.
Please email hello@natscibeauty with any concerns and we will chat it up! And once we become a bigger company we will happily do exchanges or returns-- this is just a policy as we deal with the growing pains of being one human trying to start a business.

Q: What types of ingredients do you use?
A: Our ingredients go through a rigorous screening process to ensure that we're only using the best raw/cold-pressed, unrefined, organic, and wildcrafted ingredients. We "just say no" to expeller-pressed, refined, deodorized, and conventional oils altogether because these production methods rob the ingredients of their nutritional value, and ain’t nobody got time for that!
We source our materials from top tier, USA-based companies for the sake of exceptional quality and unmatched efficacy. This is not the “cheap and easy” option, but we wouldn’t have it any other way, seeing as you deserve to be nourished and glowing!
Q: Are your products made in the U.S.?
A: Why, yes they are! All of our products are crafted in our studio in Portland, Oregon.
Q: OMG JUST ORDERED!! When will my skin-saviors be delivered?
A: As we are a handmade, small-batch skincare line, we craft and label our products made-to-order. This way, you receive the freshest and most potent skincare product possible.
Allow 2-3 business days after purchase for crafting your order (up to one week during busy seasons). Once your order has shipped, we will send you tracking information so you don’t have to wait with bated breath. Shipping will take 3-7 days, depending on your location.
Q: I live outside the U.S. Can you ship these magical products my way?
A: At this time we are only able to ship inside the U.S. But stay tuned! We are working on finding ways to ship outside of the U.S.
Q: What is the shelf life of my Nat Sci products?
A: Since we use only the finest cold-pressed, unfiltered, organic, and wildcrafted ingredients without the use of any unnatural preservatives, we recommend using your products within 5-9 months of purchase for full potency. This should be pretty easy, as we have portioned them out into small glass jars for daily to weekly use to keep fresh.
For the utmost longevity, we recommend using freshly-washed hands (or a sterilized utensil) to scoop your product out and keeping the lid on the jar when not in use; this will keep the fresh essences in and water/bacteria out. Store your products in a cool, dry place for best results.
Q: What do I do when my jar is empty?
A: Re-order! Hehehe.
No, but really — our jars are recyclable so please wash it out when you're done and recycle or reuse them.
Common reuses include: extra-small succulent planter, hair tie/bobby pin holder, mini-sized snack storage, paperclip protector.
Q: Do you test on animals? Are your products cruelty-free?
A: We do not test on animals— ever, ever! It's mega important for us to uphold completely cruelty-free practices, so we have real-deal humans gladly and willingly test our products before they are released into the world.
Q: Are your products vegan?
A: Not completely; we have carefully and respectfully chosen to use life-giving honey and beeswax in our products for their immense healing properties to skin and our environment (we work with farmers who are working to save these fuzzy little plant pollinators).
In regard to our non-vegan ingredients: sourcing is of the utmost importance to us at Nat Sci, so we have chosen to use USA-produced, “untreated” beeswax meaning no pesticides, miticides, or medications are used inside the hive (or on the bees) unlike the majority of hives out there. This is for the health of the bees, our environment and the benefits for your skin.
We have also chosen to source a raw, Oregon honey to ensure ethical beekeeping and a topnotch, vitamin-rich honey.
Q: Are your products gluten-free?
A: Yes, all of our products are gluten free and do not come in any contact with gluten during production.
Q: Hot damn! My body balm has melted under the sun’s sweltering heat! What do I do?
Fear not! Just place in your refrigerator for a half hour or so. This will help re-solidify your moisturizer. (Also always keep your lid tight on your jar, so any melting stays contained.)
Q: My skin is sensitive and has been known to display photosensitivity in the sun. What can I do to keep myself protected from irritation?
A: Wear your sunscreen daily and patch test! Nat Sci utilizes the power of essential oils like lime, bergamot (bergaptene-free), and bitter orange for their myriad of benefits; we recommend patch testing a small part of your skin with the product to make sure you two are compatible. A good rule of thumb is to put your balm on, then apply sunscreen and wait some time before going into the sun. This way the oils have some time to soak into your skin.
